Recently, I met an old friend GG at a social event. I’ve always felt there was more to her even though she was quite reserved. So after a few drinks, my curiosity got the best of me and I asked her what her real name was. You can imagine my shock when I found out she goes by Apoline Bay.

My intrusive thoughts won and I blurted out “Then what does GG stand for?” She replied, “Green Guardian”. She explained that she has always been an environmental enthusiast so her college friends gave her that nickname. I thought It was funny. So when she invited us to her housewarming party, I had to jump on it.

That weekend we toured her home in Florida and I was awed. From the minimalist aesthetic,energy-efficient lighting upcycled and recycled pieces to natural sustainable materials. But what caught my attention was the sofa sleepers she prepared for us at night. The sofa we sat on during the day was suddenly transformed into a bed at night.

At first, I was skeptical about how comfortable It would be but my doubts were wiped away after having a good night’s sleep. The stability the oak bed offered was majestic. Overall I was impressed by the versatility and natural beauty the oak wood added to the theme of the interior decor.

But most importantly, being highly sensitive and easily prone to allergies, the natural hypoallergenic properties of oak wood were a suitable choice that had me sold on the sofa sleepers. I was also amazed by its aromatherapy benefits. The oakwood has a subtle, natural scent that promotes relaxation and stress relief. Sleeping in the oak bed enhanced my overall sleep experience, helping me unwind and drift off into a deeper, more restful sleep.

As an aspiring homeowner, the sofa sleeper is a must-have for my future home. A modern necessity indeed!
